75Cr1 is a high carbon steel with a carbon content between 0.74% and 0.80%. The addition of chromium facilitates the heat treatment process and allows higher hardness to be achieved than the standard C75 Carbon Steel.
75Cr1 carbon steel is a variation on En10132 C75, and US specification 1075. It is a high carbon steel strip grade supplied in either hardened and tempered or annealed condition.
75Cr1 carbon steel can be cut by laser or waterjet. It is generally used in manufacturing knives, springs, doctor blades, clutch plates, agricultural tools, and shims. Whilst it can and is used for a variety of spring and tool applications, it has found particular popularity in the manufacture of saws.
BSS stock 75Cr1 carbon steel from 1mm through to 5mm in the hardened and tempered condition and up to 10mm in the annealed condition.
